16th July 2016

We’re really excited to be introducing our ‘Design-A-Cushion’ competition to you! We have teamed up with five local infant and primary schools to give each of their pupils the opportunity to have their drawing printed on a cushion. We gave each school (Folly Hill Infants, St Polycarps Primary, Rowledge Primary, Frensham Heights and Edgeborough) a local Farnham landmark to draw; The Almshouses on Castle Street, Farnham Train Station, The Lion & Lamb Statue, Castle Street Flower Stall and Farnham Castle, and we have now received all of our entries!

The standard of these drawings is so much higher than we could have ever hoped and we couldn’t be more grateful to all the schools, teachers, parents and most importantly students, who have put so much effort into their entries! But now the competition really begins. Throughout August, we will have every single drawing on display in our Farnham showroom, alongside voting slips for you to vote for your favourite drawings. We will also be posting all entries on Facebook and a ‘like’ or ‘share’ will act as a vote for that drawing.

At the end of August, all the votes will be counted and a winner from each school will be chosen. There will be one overall winner and four runners up. Then the cushion will be put into production! We will have the overall winning drawing printed on one side of the cushion with the four runners up printed on the other side.

The winners will remain a secret until the BIG reveal in December. On Sunday 4th December our Farnham showroom will play host to our cushion launch and Christmas event. We are inviting all schools, pupils, parents, friends and families, down to the showroom to see the final cushion unveiled. The limited edition cushion will then be on sale to all, with £5 from the sale of every cushion being donated back to the schools involved – our way of saying thanks. In addition to this we will also be donating five finished cushions to every school as an extra thank you!

We really need you all to vote to make this the great success it can be! Keep your eyes on our Facebook page and get liking and sharing when you see your favourite – every vote counts! And don’t forget you can also see the drawings on display in our Farnham showroom and vote in-store throughout August – trust us, some really need to be seen to be believed!
