The firm, which was created by Georg Nolte back in 1932, offers innovative wardrobe and flexible modular systems as well as first class beds and side tables. Today the company is owned by son Konrad Nolte who insists on maintaining his father’s high standards – despite a huge upsurge in production. The company employ 700 staff in the Rhineland where their factory is based and export to more than 46 countries around the globe. At one point – during the 1960s – the company were in possession of the longest assembly line in Europe.
The company’s products are contemporary and involve innovative design extras such as motorised door openings on wardrobes, stunning lighting solutions and extra tall hinged-door ceiling-level wardrobes. Nolte Mobel – Chests
Chests in the bedroom are essential really for storage as well as providing a surface for laying objects down on such as picture frames, lamps and vases. Nolte furniture have all been designed with the ‘wow’ factor and to complement furniture in the current ranges. The Alegro glass-fronted Chest, for instance, has a glamorous lacquer sheen with a choice of drawer numbers. You can also choose from up to 10 frame and six door finishes. There is even a choice of door handles.
Nolte Mobel – Beds
As you would expect, every Nolte Mobel comes with a choice of eye-catching headboards in various styles and materials. But there is more; the company also offer the options of headboard lights and sensor-operated lights under the bed, as well as a choice of leg options. The Elino bed boasts a luxury cushioned headboard in deep brown velvet (although white and graphite shades are also available). The seven finishes include white, oak and macadamia.
Nolte Mobel – Wardrobes
If you thought the company’s bed choices were extensive, then you obviously hadn’t seen their wardrobe collections yet. These can be customised to suit, meaning widths, styles and finishes all vary (even within collections) and include corner as well as extra tall sections. Extras include shelving for shoes and racks on tracks.
The company’s Attraction collection does exactly what it says on the tin, by commanding attention the minute you walk into the bedroom. Containing white or black lacquer panels on sliding or hinged doors on a wooden frame, certain models in this collection have a definitely Oriental feel.
Nolte Mobel – Lighting
Nolte offers a whole range of task lighting solutions to suit their wardrobes and modular bedroom furniture. This includes ‘picture’ lighting to sit on the top of the wardrobe and inbuilt spot lighting for easier clothes selection.
