Connubia Dining Chairs

One of the reasons we particularly like Connubia dining chairs is their proportions. Some of the designs we've selected are noticeably more compact than comparable chairs from other Italian collections, making them useful where space around the dining table is limited.

A few centimetres can make a real difference

The Connubia Eide and Desy chairs are both approximately 50cm wide, while some comparable Calligaris designs approach 60cm or more. That difference can help when arranging chairs around a smaller dining table, particularly if you want to avoid the room feeling crowded.

Chair width alone doesn't determine how many people can sit comfortably. Allow for the table legs, space between diners and the room needed to pull chairs out. It's worth trying the combination rather than relying entirely on measurements.

Choose comfort and proportions together

Connubia benefits from Calligaris' long experience of designing dining chairs, while generally offering simpler detailing and a more focused choice of upholstery and frame finishes.

Try the chairs at a dining table, sitting as you would when eating rather than just leaning back. Check the seat height, back support and how comfortably your legs fit beneath the tabletop. A compact chair still needs to be comfortable for the people who will use it.

You don't have to buy the matching table

We select chairs to complement our displayed Connubia tables, paying attention to proportions, curves, leg shapes and finishes. Some combinations are available at a special set price, but the chairs can also be bought separately and work well with tables from Calligaris and other manufacturers.

At Ash Vale, we can move chairs between tables to help you compare the combinations. We also have Connubia's wider range of upholstery and finish samples if you want to explore alternatives to our displayed selection. You can also browse our wider dining chair collection.
