Divan Beds

A great mattress deserves the right foundation.

Whilst your Tempur mattress provides the comfort and pressure relief, the divan underneath plays an important role in the way your bed feels, the support it provides and how well it suits your bedroom.

At Vale Furnishers, we display a selection of Tempur divan beds alongside the complete Tempur mattress collection, allowing you to compare different combinations before making your decision.

Whether you're looking for a beautifully upholstered divan, additional bedroom storage or a base with Tempur's innovative support technology, we'll help you choose the combination that's right for you.

Why choose a Tempur divan?

Divan beds remain one of the most popular choices for modern homes.

Their clean lines make them suitable for almost every bedroom style, while the wide choice of fabrics, storage options and support systems means you can tailor the bed to suit both your room and your lifestyle.

Designed specifically to work with Tempur mattresses, they provide the correct foundation for your mattress to perform exactly as intended.

More than just a base

Many people think every divan base feels exactly the same.

In reality, the base underneath your mattress can influence how the bed feels and responds.

Tempur offers different divan options, allowing you to choose the level of support and practicality that best suits your needs.

Some customers simply want a beautifully upholstered base.

Others are looking for integrated storage.

Some prefer the additional responsiveness offered by Tempur's innovative disc support system.

Trying these different options in person often helps customers decide far more quickly than looking at pictures online.

What we often tell customers

People often spend hours choosing a mattress but only a few minutes thinking about the base. In reality, the two work together, so it's worth taking the time to experience different combinations before making your decision.

Practical storage without compromise

Modern bedrooms need to work harder than ever.

That's why many customers choose a divan with integrated storage.

Whether you're storing bedding, seasonal clothing or simply looking to make better use of your bedroom space, Tempur offers practical storage options without compromising the comfort or performance of your mattress.

The result is a bed that's every bit as practical as it is comfortable.

A more adaptive support system

Selected Tempur divan beds feature the brand's innovative disc support system.

Unlike a traditional sprung slatted base, which flexes across the full width of the bed, the Tempur disc system uses individual support discs that respond independently beneath the mattress.

This creates a more adaptive foundation, helping the mattress respond naturally to your body while also promoting excellent airflow beneath the bed.

It's a subtle difference, but one that many customers notice when comparing beds in our showroom.

What we often tell customers

The mattress may be the star of the show, but the base underneath it still plays an important role. It's often surprising how different the same mattress can feel when it's paired with a different support system.

Fixed or adjustable?

One of the questions we're often asked is whether to choose a traditional divan or an adjustable bed.

For many customers, a beautifully upholstered divan provides everything they need.

Others prefer the additional flexibility of an adjustable bed for reading, watching television or simply relaxing at the end of the day.

If you're considering both, we'll happily explain the differences and help you compare them side by side.

Our dedicated Tempur Adjustable Beds page explores these options in much more detail.
