A dining bench can change both the look and the way a table is used. Some customers choose one for a more relaxed arrangement, while others use a bench to make better use of a wall or to mix seating styles around the table.
Benches are particularly easy to use with pedestal tables because there are no corner legs to negotiate when sliding in and out. With a table supported at each end or on four legs, check how easily people can get onto the bench before choosing the combination.
In kitchens and compact dining areas, a bench against a wall can make efficient use of space and reduce the need to pull chairs in and out on that side of the table.
You do not need a bench on both sides. One bench paired with Venjakob dining chairs opposite can create a less formal look while keeping individual chairs where they are most useful.
At our Ash Vale showroom, we can help you compare benches with different dining table designs and check the seat height, access and leg position together.
