Floor-standing headboards create a more substantial look

A floor-standing headboard extends all the way to the floor behind the divan, creating a substantial, finished appearance.

Their size is also something worth considering before you order. A large floor-standing headboard can be surprisingly difficult to manoeuvre through hallways, around staircases and into bedrooms.

We'd much rather discuss access with you beforehand than discover there's a problem on delivery day.

Strutted headboards can make access much easier

A strutted headboard attaches to the divan using traditional wooden struts and doesn't extend all the way to the floor.

As well as creating a different look, its smaller overall size can make it a very practical alternative where access is restricted.

If you have a tight staircase, narrow landing or awkward turn into the bedroom, this can sometimes be the difference between choosing the headboard you want and finding that a large floor-standing version simply won't go in.
