Choose the right spring tension rather than simply choosing firm

Vispring mattresses are available in a choice of spring tensions, including Soft, Medium, Firm and Extra Firm on selected models. The right tension depends on your build and sleeping position rather than an assumption that a firmer mattress will provide better support.

A side sleeper may need enough give for the shoulder and hip to settle comfortably, while someone who sleeps differently may prefer a more supportive feel. Our team can help you compare the tensions and check how comfortably you are lying on each mattress.

Different tensions can work better for couples

Couples do not necessarily need the same mattress tension. Selected Vispring mattresses can be made with a different tension on each side, allowing each person to choose the support that suits them while sharing one mattress.

This is an option we regularly discuss with couples, particularly where there is a difference in build, sleeping position or comfort preference.

Natural fillings create comfort that develops with use

As you move through the Vispring mattress collection, the combinations of pocket springs and natural materials become increasingly sophisticated. These differences influence the resilience, breathability and overall feel of the mattress.

The natural fillings will settle where you sleep, particularly during the early months. This is normal rather than a fault, and turning and rotating the mattress as recommended helps it settle more evenly.
