Calligaris Chaise Sofas

A chaise sofa gives you somewhere to stretch out without requiring the full footprint of a larger corner group. The important decision is not simply whether you like the appearance: check where the chaise will project into the room and how people need to move around it.

Choose the configuration from the room plan

In an open-plan space, a chaise can help define the living area, but the projecting section can also interrupt a natural route through the room if it is positioned on the wrong side. Consider doors, walkways, dining furniture and the direction from which you normally approach the seating before settling on a configuration.

Measurements on a plan are useful, but remember to allow for the space around the sofa as well as its overall dimensions. The room still needs to work comfortably once people are sitting down and moving between the living, dining and kitchen areas.

Compare the other sofa footprints too

If the chaise projection is difficult to accommodate, a straight Calligaris sofa may work better. If you need more seating and have the space, compare the larger Calligaris corner sofa configurations.
