Calligaris Occasional Chairs

An occasional chair does not need to match the sofa. It can provide an extra comfortable seat while introducing a different shape, fabric or colour into the room, which is where Calligaris's more individual designs can work particularly well.

Decide whether the chair is primarily for sitting or making a statement

Some occasional chairs are used every day; others are chosen mainly to complete a room and provide an extra seat when needed. If it will be used regularly, try it properly and make comfort the priority. If its role is more occasional, you may have greater freedom to choose a distinctive shape or proportion.

Use fabric and finish choices to connect the room

Calligaris offers a broad selection of upholstery and finishes across its furniture. An occasional chair can therefore pick up a fabric, colour or frame finish used elsewhere in an open-plan space without needing to be part of the same sofa collection.

At our Ash Vale showroom we display Calligaris occasional chairs alongside furniture from other brands, so you can compare comfort, scale and fabrics and choose the chair that works for the room rather than being restricted to one manufacturer.
