Choosing a rug is as much about scale as colour or pattern. A design can look right in isolation but feel very different once it sits beneath a dining table or alongside a sofa, so start by thinking about the furniture and floor area the rug needs to relate to.

See a rug underneath furniture, not just on a sample rack

It can be difficult to visualise the size of a rug from dimensions or a small sample alone. In our Ash Vale showroom we display rugs in room settings, including beneath tables and chairs, so you can see how much floor they occupy and how the furniture sits within them.

This is particularly useful around a dining table, where the rug needs to be considered with the chairs as well as the tabletop. Seeing the arrangement at furniture scale gives a much clearer idea of the proportions than looking at the rug separately.

Compare Calligaris with the wider choice

We display Calligaris rugs and can access the wider Calligaris collection, but you do not need to choose a Calligaris rug simply because you have selected Calligaris furniture.
