Sofas, sideboards, Skovby coffee tables – and a new Interior Design Service
Lately it seems that our showrooms are looking completely different from one moment to the next. That’s because we’re expanding our range of furniture on a weekly basis and establishing new room sets and displays at every turn.
Live and dine in style
In the last few months, we’ve added several brand new ranges to our contemporary furniture-oriented Farnham and Hampshire showrooms. Among these is the NW660 Living and Dining Range, a vast collection of beautiful modern dining furniture, storage and display cabinets, TV units, wall-mounted ‘floating’ sideboards and coffee tables.
If you’re starting out with a blank canvas living space, the NW660 range is perfect, firstly because it looks so refined and elegant, and secondly because it has everything you could possibly need – bar a sofa. Our favourites are the tall cupboards, each with funky, LED-illuminated display windows. If you purchase multiple units and stand them side by side, they look fantastic.
And if you’re just looking to purchase a new coffee table or TV unit, the NW660 range is versatile enough to be integrated with other ranges. This is thanks to the various configurations, finishes and colours that we offer.
The other end of the spectrum
In stark contrast to the NW660 range and its refined urban vibe, our new Root Range brings the organic irregularity of nature into your home. You’ll find coffee tables, bird tables, wine racks, mirrors and bowls, all carved from the sprawling roots of a teak tree, smoothed and polished but otherwise left as nature intended it. These are essentially waste products that have been recycled into beautiful talking points for your room – the definition of environmentally friendly furniture.
Our customers seem to agree. Ever since we brought the Root products into our Farnham and Hampshire showrooms, they’ve been selling like hot cakes!
Two superb sofas
If you’re looking for a new sofa, two options have recently arrived in our showrooms. Proudly displayed in our Ash Vale showroom is the Carlo, an Italian-made contemporary leather sofa range. The range is characterised by thick seat and back cushions, generously filled with a lush foam/fibre mix for a truly luxurious sit.
Then there’s the Marlin sofa range at our Farnham showroom, still contemporary but quite different to the Carlo. Designed by Dan Ihreborn, it’s a seamless upholstered structure rested upon a sleek, tube-shaped metal frame, subtly accented by French seams down the arms and backrests.

Shabby chic, anyone?
An increasingly popular style choice, shabby chic is characterised by furniture and furnishings with an aged, distressed or vintage look. In many cases, furniture is given a distressed finish so that it has the appearance of an antique. At the same time the design, colour or style of the piece imparts a romantic elegance, distinguishing it from genuine period décor.
Our new Apollo Eclectic Collection in our Ash Vale showroom is a wonderful expression of this. Comprising a sideboard, bookshelf, coffee table and easy chair, it’s eclectic because it blends a range of different styles, but fits perfectly into a shabby chic interior thanks to its natural pine and distressed metal finish.
Terrific twin coffee tables from Skovby
Technically two products, the SM206 and SM207 Coffee Tables from Skovby are designed to complement one another. And trust me, as soon as you see them together, you’ll see how great they are as a couple – it was meant to be!
Having said that, just because they’re great together doesn’t mean they’re hopeless apart. These are strong, independent tables! When separate, they actually work really well as occasional tables.
Our new Interior Design Service
So those are our product highlights for this month. We also have some non-product-related news to share.
Now open at our Farnham showroom is a new in-house interior design service. We’re offering specialist guidance on styles, trends, colour schemes, room plans, furniture, décor, lighting and accessories, and how best to coordinate all these aspects. We’re tailoring the service to each individual customer’s needs, so we can offer full project management or just some advice and assistance with finishing touches. It’s completely up to you.
The service starts with a free 20-minute consultation in our new purpose-built design office, so we can get a feel for what you need. We’ll follow this up with a £100 two-hour on-site visit that’s redeemable on orders over £1,500. You also get a free secondary visit from our curtain and flooring team.
