Actona Extending Dining Tables

If you need a dining table for a small space but would still like room for a couple of extra people occasionally, Actona is well worth considering. We have deliberately chosen a compact extending table that works as a two-seater for everyday use and extends to seat four when needed, all at an affordable price.

Extra seats without living with a larger table every day

Most extending dining tables in our wider range start at four or six seats and become considerably larger when extended. Actona offers something different: a table for a compact kitchen, apartment or small dining area where a conventional extending table could simply take up too much room.

Measure the space with the table both closed and fully extended, remembering to allow room to pull the chairs out and move around them. If it will spend most of its time closed, make sure that is the size that works particularly well in the room; the extra two places are there when you need them.

Choose chairs that keep the proportions balanced

With a compact table, the chairs matter just as much as the table itself. A particularly wide chair can quickly use up the available space, so check how the chair width and table-leg position work together. Your chairs do not need to come from Actona: we can help you find options from different suppliers that complement the table and suit the space.

Actona extending tables are supplied for home assembly

Unlike most furniture we sell at Vale, Actona dining tables are delivered boxed rather than fully assembled. Our own Vale team will deliver your table, but you will need to assemble it at home.
