Upholstered furniture has been produced in Taufkirchen/Vils since 1829. It was in the year 1948 that the transformation from local family firm of craftsmen to one of Europe’s leading upholstery furniture producer began. The company's headlong expansion during the 1970s calls for heavy investment in buildings, a fleet of trucks and new production technologies. In those years, Himolla developed to become one of Europe's biggest upholstery manufacturers. During the 2000s Himolla is heavily investing in the fields of production and logistics. New models are designed every day and set up throughout the year. Himolla intensify their export activities into more than 40 countries around the world.
