Bedroom furniture & wardrobes

A bedroom that works for you

Your bedroom should be somewhere you can relax at the end of the day and wake up feeling organised the next morning. The right furniture doesn't just change how the room looks; it changes how it works.

Having the right storage means things have a natural place to go. Drawers for smaller items, hanging space for shirts and dresses, somewhere for shoes and enough room for the things you don't need every day. It makes getting ready in the morning easier and helps keep the bedroom feeling calm rather than cluttered.

At Vale Furnishers, we can help you think about the whole room, whether you're furnishing a bedroom from scratch or simply looking for a bedside chest, chest of drawers, wardrobe or dressing table.

A much bigger choice to see in person

One of the biggest advantages of visiting our showroom is the sheer breadth of bedroom furniture you can actually see.

We have around ten lifestyle displays, where you can see complete bedroom collections together and get a feel for how a finished room could look. Alongside these are more than a dozen smaller cameo displays, typically showing pieces such as a bedside chest and chest of drawers.

It means we can show a much wider choice of styles, finishes and price points without relying on a catalogue alone.

More importantly, you can use the furniture. Open the drawers, see how far they extend, feel the quality of the runners, compare finishes and get a proper sense of the proportions. These are relatively small details, but they're often what make the difference between furniture that simply looks good in a photograph and furniture that is easy and enjoyable to use every day.

Bedroom furniture planned around your life

Good bedroom planning starts with understanding how you're actually going to use the room.

With a shared wardrobe, for example, it's worth thinking about how much space each person needs and what they need to store. Someone with lots of shirts and trousers may benefit from double hanging, while dresses and longer clothing needs more height. Shelves, drawers and shoe storage can then be positioned around that.

It's not about squeezing as much furniture as possible into a bedroom. It's about using the available space intelligently so that the storage works for you.

Our team is very used to having these conversations and helping customers piece a room together.

Italian bedroom furniture with an almost fitted feel

Some of our most flexible bedroom furniture comes from one of our Italian supplier partners.

There is a huge choice of finishes together with clever internal options, drawers and discreet lighting features. Individual pieces can be tailored to create a very personal bedroom.

The wardrobes are particularly interesting because they can be made to suit the space available. This allows us to create something with the appearance of fitted furniture while it remains freestanding. You get that clean, made-for-the-room look without permanently fitting the furniture to the building – so if you move home, it can move with you.

German wardrobe systems designed around your space

We also work with a German manufacturer offering an extremely flexible wardrobe system.

Options range from compact sliding wardrobes through to much larger corner arrangements, with hinged, bi-fold and sliding door combinations available. German manufacturing efficiency also means there can be some very good-value solutions.

Both our Italian and German suppliers provide specialist planning software, allowing us to design the furniture around your room and show you what the proposed layout will look like before you order.

For more complex German installations, the manufacturer's own specialist fitting team will install the wardrobes for you.

Check the dimensions – not just the photograph!

One of the easiest mistakes to make when choosing bedroom furniture online is judging its size from a photograph.

Two chests of drawers can look virtually identical on a screen but be very different in width, depth or height when you check the dimensions. Even when selecting furniture for our own showroom, it's something we have to be conscious of.

Measure carefully and think about what's around the furniture as well. A chest that finishes above a windowsill or a wardrobe door that can't open properly because of another piece of furniture can quickly become frustrating.

Bring your room dimensions with you and we're very happy to help work through what will fit and how the different pieces could work together.

Delivered, assembled and ready to use

Once you've chosen your bedroom furniture, we take care of getting it into the room too.

Most of our furniture is delivered assembled by our own delivery team. We'll take it to the room, position it, set it up and remove the packaging afterwards. Specialist German wardrobe systems are installed by the manufacturer's own fitters.

So you don't need to spend the weekend building wardrobes, attaching handles or filling the recycling bin with cardboard. Give us the space and we'll give you back a finished room.

Explore our bedroom furniture

Whether you're looking for a complete bedroom or one individual piece, you can explore our collections by furniture type, including bedside chests, chests of drawers, wardrobes, dressing tables and bedsteads.

And if you're not quite sure what combination will work best, that's exactly where visiting the showroom can help. With a large selection to compare and an experienced team to talk things through with, we can help you create a bedroom that looks good, feels organised and, most importantly, works for the way you live.
