Westex is a premium British carpet manufacturer with its roots in the wool textile industry of West Yorkshire. For us, one of the biggest reasons to consider Westex is choice: an extensive colour palette sits alongside different wool and wool-blend constructions, textures and pile qualities, giving us plenty of scope to find a carpet that suits both the room and the way you live.
Where the carpet is going should shape the decision. A busy hallway or staircase asks different things of a carpet from a quieter bedroom, while pets and underfloor heating can also influence what we discuss with you. There are also meaningful differences between Westex loop pile carpets and the twist and velvet finishes within our plain Westex carpets.
If you want to explore the range more broadly, view all Westex carpets currently shown online, where we explain more about wool, pile quality, different widths and the practical details worth considering before ordering.
Our website shows only part of the Westex choice available through our flooring department. At our Ash Vale showroom we have a much broader selection of colours, textures, constructions and pile qualities to compare, and our flooring team has visited Westex for product training.
Carpet is also a product worth trying physically. Take your shoes off, stand on different qualities as you would at home and compare how they actually feel underfoot. Once you have narrowed down the construction and feel, we recommend taking suitable colour samples home: natural and artificial light, wall colours and furnishings can all change how a carpet looks in the room where it will actually be fitted.
