Delivery Driver / Installer
Hours: Monday to Saturday 8:30-5:30
SALARY: Dependant On Experience

Driver required to deliver and assemble high end furniture.

The successful applicant will hold a full clean UK driving licence and have a flexible attitude towards working in a small but busy work environment and well presented. A good understanding of assembly or DIY knowledge would be useful.

  • Though this is a driving position, duties will include but not be restricted to: 
  • Driving a 3.5ton van in a safe and professional manor. 
  • Managing the customer and preparing the customers home for delivery. 
  • Loading, unloading and securing goods for transit 
  • Accepting payment and cash handling 
  • Dealing professionally and constructively with any issues that arise on site. 
  • Managing daily workload and organising van assistant to carry out tasks. 
  • Insuring our customers are contacted with a expected delivery time and leasing with them if any delays are encountered. 
  • Insuring goods are delivered safely by protecting yourself from injury, protecting the goods being delivered and most of all protecting the customers home. 
  • Warehouse duties are also involved with this role and the successful candidate would be expected to work in many environments. 

A day off will be given during the week if a Saturday is worked. While Saturday's are generally rotated all staff are expected to work all Saturday's if required.
The warehousing and distribution side of the business is closed on Sunday's.

Part Time Admin Assistant
Temporary to Permanent Position - Maternity Cover

Vale Furnishers is an independent furniture retailer with property interests. The business is family owned and run since 1960. We have 2 stores, one in Ash Vale and the other in Farnham. 

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Farnham store, on a part-time basis, to cover maternity leave 3 mornings a week. 

The position will require someone with previous admin experience, who is very organised, PC literate, able to multi task and has the ability to co-ordinate appointments and maintain accurate notes. 

You will be assisting the Property Manager with all day-to-day duties for the company‚Äôs property portfolio, keeping records of work carried out, diary management, liaising with our maintenance manager, tenants and letting agents both on the phone and via email. 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent communication
  • Good telephone manner
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong self-motivation and highly organised
