With such a broad Nourison range, colour and pattern are only part of the decision. Think first about the room, the furniture around the rug and how the area is actually used. Size and pile depth can make as much difference as the design itself.
In a living room, a larger rug that runs partly underneath the sofas can help connect the seating area rather than leaving the rug sitting separately in front. If you have reclining furniture, also check the clearance beneath the mechanism. A deeper pile positioned immediately in front of a low recliner can sometimes catch as it operates, so a thinner rug or a size that runs fully underneath the furniture may work better.
For a dining area, measure beyond the table itself. The rug needs enough room for a dining chair to be pulled back without repeatedly catching on the edge. A lower-profile rug can also make chairs easier to move in and out than a particularly deep pile.
We normally have around 50 rugs from the Nourison and Rama ranges on display at Ash Vale, alongside brochures covering the wider collection available to us. Seeing a rug at full size is particularly useful for judging colour, pattern scale and texture, all of which can look quite different on a screen or small sample.
Where suitable, we can move rugs alongside furniture in the showroom to help you compare combinations, and many rugs can be borrowed so you can see how the colour, size and proportions work in your own room before deciding.
